The session will consider two topics – “What is Inquiry?” and “How Can the AIMS II Grant Support Inquiry in our Schools?” We will look at inquiry based, research driven methods for math instruction and its effectiveness in the classroom. Through active inquiry, students connect their previous knowledge with new ideas and evidence in math and develop their sense of mathematical thinking.  The AIMS II grant provides professional development opportunities to both teams and individuals to build their understanding of inquiry-based mathematics. This event can be tailored to specific needs of your district.
